Lyrics:
Published in The Columbia News, April 1912

When you're tired, and languid,
And limped and slow
>From the drudge of all study, from
School. "Hall of Woe."
When you feel life, a dead weight,
There's one place to go,
And drown all your sorrow, the
"Ten-twenty show."

Oh! "ten-twenty show!"
Oh! temple of Loew!
Where the brave cowboy shoots the wild buffalo,
Where Virtue e'er triumphs; brave
Dick kills his foe,
It's death to the villain in
The "ten-twenty show."

Oh! dramas ecstatic
In pictures dramatic,
Appeal to the mass and the aristocratic,
Your pulse beats the faster at "thrillers" emphatic.
In no time you'll change to a "filmofanatic."

Your view is, in fact, not confined to a screen,
For vaudeville holds sway, that execrable queen,
Great "Sandow" and "Venus," "Terpsichore," too
Appear between pictures, in gold review.
Then, horror of horrors, the clog dancers prance
And kick on the boards in true variance,
To all forms of beauty and sanity too,
But are met with applause, be their merits e'er few!

Oh! ten-twenty show!
Oh! temple of Loew!
There's a world of diversity
Where the lesser stars glow.
If you're troubled and bothered
With the discords of life,
Come to this Rock of Refuge
And forget all your strife.
